PREMIER Bankcard Welcomes New President Ben Marcello

SIOUX FALLS – PREMIER Bankcard recently announced that Ben Marcello was named President of the organization. A native Bostonian, Marcello brings more than two decades of executive leadership and finance experience to the PREMIER organization.

PREMIER Bankcard CEO Miles Beacom said Marcello’s success in developing effective credit strategies, coupled with his professional and personal values, make him an ideal person to help lead the South Dakota-based organization.

“Ben understands the importance of providing second chances to our credit card customers,” Beacom said. “He knows the business, but he is also passionate about philanthropy and giving back to our communities. I am confident he will help take our organization to the next level.”

Marcello said joining PREMIER and moving his family to Sioux Falls has been an exciting experience. He added that he is looking forward to becoming involved in the community and making a difference in the lives of others.

"I'm excited to be part of an organization that shares my lifelong devotion to helping those who need it most,” said Marcello. "I believe it’s important to deliver financial services with all the passion, empathy and commitment required to create a more financially inclusive world. Similarly, I also believe it’s essential to ensure we’re giving back locally; investing in both our communities and the people who call them home. PREMIER checks all these boxes, and I’m both humbled and honored that they provided me the opportunity to join their team.”

Marcello shared that his parents instilled in him the transformative power of education from an early age. As a result, he holds a dual specialization MBA in Advanced Corporate Strategy and U.S. Business Law, his AMP in Leadership from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, and is one of very few global executives to have earned strategy and global policy credentials in financial inclusion from both Harvard Business School and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. “Ultimately,” said Marcello, “the value of an education is determined by how one uses such to improve the lives of others. PREMIER has not only put me in a position to continue on this mission but has long provided a platform to do so at scale. We believe that the best it yet to come for our company, our customers and our community.”
